Stephanie Paulmeno and Joanne Palmer, Co-Chairs of TPIU, are pleased to congratulate Robin Kanarek on the remarkable growth and success of the Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition of Connecticut (PPCC-CT).
Established in 2023, PPCC-CT is led by Dr. Eileen O’Shea, Director of the Kanarek Center for Palliative Care at Fairfield University’s Egan School of Nursing. Together with Robin Kanarek, Dr. O’Shea has helped build a statewide coalition dedicated to ensuring that every child with a serious illness—and every family—has access to compassionate, comprehensive pediatric palliative care.
The coalition brings together healthcare professionals, community organizations, educators, and volunteers to expand access to pediatric palliative care, enhance professional education, increase public awareness, and strengthen collaboration throughout Connecticut.
TPIU is proud to support and recognize the important work of PPCC-CT. Their commitment to compassionate, patient- and family-centered care reflects values that closely align with TPIU’s mission of advancing compassionate healthcare through education, advocacy, and collaboration.
“Compassion is at the heart of everything we do at TPIU,” said Dr. Stephanie Paulmeno. “Robin Kanarek and Dr. Eileen O’Shea have created an extraordinary organization that will improve the lives of countless Connecticut children and families. We congratulate them on the tremendous progress PPCC-CT has already achieved and look forward to seeing its continued positive impact across our state.”
TPIU extends its sincere congratulations to Robin Kanarek, Dr. Eileen O’Shea, and everyone involved with the Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition of Connecticut. We are grateful for their leadership and dedication to ensuring that children with serious illnesses and their families receive the compassionate care and support they deserve.
